  • This job is a member of the Powerplant Programs Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
  • Responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services; and managing vendors. This job will be able to perform strategic program management activities across multiple categories.

What you'll do

  • Partners with other Supply Chain Department groups, Engineering, Line Mx Planning, Finance and Fleet Planning to ensure programs are effectively and appropriately managed
  • Develops financial, strategic and tactical plans to satisfy the requirements of the operation and budgetary goals
  • Manages a staff of Supply Chain professionals and external suppliers
  • Performs ad hoc analysis
  • Understands and manages the external supply chain for their commodities, through long- and short-term contracts and other arrangements
  • Acts as a liaison between external suppliers and internal customers
  • Develops future supply chain leaders

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 2 years of Supply Chain management experience, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish project objectives

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in Purchasing, contract negotiation and contract management

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Outstanding leadership capabilities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent facilitation and formal presentation skills
  • Ability to work with a team in a high-pressure environment
  • Leadership ability and history of success which involved a collaborative approach
  • Ability to lead, guide, direct and engage team members to perform at the highest level
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Ability to be action oriented and results-driven leader with a natural aptitude for engaging employees across multiple workgroups
  • Demonstrates and cultivates collaborative relationships across all work groups and teams
