Senior Security Engineer

Overview:

My client is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join their team, focusing on multiple value streams alongside Delivery Leads and Team Leads. The role involves specialised expertise in mainly in Azure, AWS and Windows, and overall security support, particularly in areas where others lack core competencies. Currently using Azure, however the client is in the early stages of transitioning to a multi-cloud environment, proficiency AWS in this area is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct troubleshooting activities, particularly with Microsoft Defender, including agent switching and Sentinel implementation.
• Demonstrate strong infrastructure knowledge, with a focus on identity and authorization systems.
• Leverage security industry experience to address challenges and implement effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in cloud systems like Azure and AWS, and Windows security frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
• Strong background in infrastructure management, with a focus on identity and authorization systems.
• Previous experience in the security industry is preferred.

Location and Duration:

• Location: Flexible, with 1 day per week based in Havant/Reading and remote work options available.
• Duration: Initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension.
