Technical Architect (Permanent)
Location: Leeds Country: UK Rate: £45585.00 - £54395.00 per annum
Harvey Nash have exclusively partnered with the University of Leeds to recruit a Technical Architect. This is a business-critical role which will be a key component to the new IT Operational Model.
The university has set out an ambitious plan to enhance student education, research, and corporate systems through increased use of technology, data, and digital approaches as part of the new strategy after a significant investment.
As a Technical Architect you will develop and help implement system architecture to meet the businesses needs based on business and technical requirement. This will require you to assess the current infrastructure and architecture in place and design methods of improving it while liaising with technical and business teams across the university.
With several large-scale projects underway, this is an incredibly exciting role and a unique opportunity for someone to drive significant, enterprise wide change and in doing so ensure that the university continues to be cutting-edge.
Experience of interest:
- Taking ownership of certain technical assets and solution design across Infrastructure, Networking, Cloud and developing appropriate architecture solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage key stakeholders as part of project delivery, assessing business impact of technical decisions, and providing updates on developments
- Leading the delivery of successful project delivery
- Producing high-quality HLD and LLD documents
- Providing technical advice to projects at the start, during and towards the end of the design and implementation phases
- Knowledge of cloud architecture design of IaaS or PaaS would be desirable but not essential
